For Aria’s Wine Director and General Manager Andrés Loaiza, fine dining is about more than just the food; it is also an experience in comfort and luxury. Andrés feels that Aria’s guests deserve only the best and serves as a dynamic force in the restaurant’s leadership. A native of Colombia, Loaiza offers an international perspective on food and service combined with a unique style of management that emphasizes relationships, which was instilled in him as a young child growing up in a large family. Upon his arrival in Atlanta, Andrés served as the restaurant manager of The Epicurean in Decatur and as general manager of Mitra in Midtown. Now at Aria, he stresses the importance of diligence and teamwork while fostering an environment of creativity, and as a result, the restaurant’s staff thinks of themselves as a tight-knit family. During his time in the restaurant industry, Loaiza has developed great passion for fine wine and is currently enrolled in the Court of Master Sommelier Program. He strives to build a selection that keeps pace with Aria's extraordinary cuisine so that guests can always count on a gourmet meal with the perfect pairings in a friendly, chic atmosphere
